I'm hoping to see "Racing Dreams" this weekend, a documentary that just premiered to stellar reviews at the Tribeca Film Festival.
The film follows the lives of three kids—Annabeth (11), Josh (12), and Brandon (13)—as they compete for the World Karting Association's National Championship, which is kind of like a little league version of NASCAR.
The Los Angeles Times said it's not only the best film at the festival this year, but it's the best film of the year so far.
[Racing Dreams] is a tight, fast-paced, engaging film that had people -- myself included -- tapping their feet in the aisles and laughing, smiling, and crying in their seats. Make no mistake about it: This one's an instant classic."— LA Times
During the premiere, the audience apparently gave it a standing ovation that started from the beginning of the credits sequence to the end. Pretty impressive!
