The portrait was very dismissive of the substance of Sarah Palin, and so in that sense, they were defining Hillary Clinton as very substantive, and Sarah Palin as totally superficial,” McCain advisor Carly Fiorina told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell on Monday. “I think that continues the line of argument that is disrespectful in the extreme, and yes I would say sexist.”
I can't believe the McCain camp said Tina Fey's portrayal of Palin was dismissive of her substance and defined her as being superficial. What about the commercial they put out saying Obama was nothing but a celebrity? That's a little dismissive of his substance, too, don't you think?
Don't dish it if you can't take it, McCain camp.
Bring on the debates already so we can talk about the issues!
Oh, and in case you haven't seen the brilliant SNL clip, starring the brilliant Tina Fey and the brilliant Amy Poehler, here it is:
It's funny, but after watching it a second (and third) time, I'm more amused by Amy Poehler's performance than Tina Fey's. I mean, they're both amazing, but I love it when Amy goes, "Nooooo... mine!" Also, "I scratched and clawed through mud and barbed wire and you just glided in on a dog sled wearing your pageant sash and your Tina Fey glasses."
Just amazing. One of the funniest sketches in years.
