Andie from Sweet. Southern. Spirited. came to NYC this weekend and the two of us met up on Saturday. It was so fun!

We met at a church in Little Italy where local independent designers sell their wares. It's called The Market NYC and it's held every weekend.

Anywho, Andie showed up with a bunch of goodies for me from New Orleans. She brought me some Cafe Du Monde beignet mix, a bag of Community Coffee, some Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning (which she said was good on popcorn) and some Pup-Peroni dog treats for Bev—low fat, none the less. She put it all in a pretty bag and everything. It was so nice! Here's what it looked like:

So anyway, she gives me this nice bag of stuff and what did I have for her?

A Banana Bunker.

This is what my gift looked like:

Remember when I wrote about them? Well, a few months ago the people from Vat19 sent me a couple. As I was running out the door to meet Andie, it occurred to me that maybe I should bring her something. Just then, I saw the Banana Bunkers out of the corner of my eye, so I grabbed one and ran out the door. I didn't even put it in a bag. After Andie gave me my gift, I seriously just pulled it out of my purse and handed it over. How ghetto am I? Andie looked at it like, Oh, wow... thanks. And then she just held on to it for a bit because it wouldn't fit in her purse and she didn't know what to do with it. And you know, it looks like a dildo, so it was kind of awkward. Thankfully her friend (she brought a friend) eventually took it and put it in her purse.

Anywho, after leaving the church (I didn't get anything, but Andie did), we had lunch at a nearby cafe and then went to a sample sale. It was late in the afternoon by the time we got there so most of the stuff was picked over, but you'll never believe what they had:

Katharine Hamnett "Choose Life" t-shirts! Remember when I wrote about them?

Well, they retail for $79 and at this place they were... ding! ding! ding! Twelve dollars. I bought two of them. (A white one with black writing and a pink with green writing.)

Bev came with because she and Andie's dog Scruffy have a thing for each other and she wanted to meet the woman who could be her mother-in-law one day (Sorry, Chumley.) Here are some pics.

Here are Andie & Bev:

Here's the same pic except Bev is now slipping into a food coma from all the Pup Peroni treats:

Later, Bev wanted to whisper something in Andie's ear. She wouldn't tell me what it was, but I think it was something about Scruffy.

Andie & Bev

Okay, maybe not.

Here Andie and I are:

Btw, we are sitting outside The Mercer Hotel, the place Mark wouldn't let me take a bath.

Okay, that's all!

Happy Monday!

PS - Miranda, I know I never wrote about our day together. I will later! xx
